Orgspace Raises $2.5M in Funding To Deliver Organizational Planning and Management for Software Leaders
Orgspace, a Brooklyn, NY based management platform for software teams, has raised $2.5M, closing their pre-seed funding round. Orgspace helps software leaders by providing tools to help drive their entire decision lifecycle. By providing leaders with insight into staffing and operations, Orgspace helps software-led organizations improve team performance and achieve superior business outcomes.
The round was led by Fika Ventures and Bloomberg Beta, with participation from Darling Ventures, Liquid2 Ventures, Essence VC, The New Normal Fund, and The Jarosz Family Fund. Other notable investors include Abby Kearns (CTO, Puppet), Rob Mee (Founder, Pivotal Labs), David Shim (CEO of Read AI; ex CEO, Foursquare), James Turnbull (VPE, Sothebys; ex CTO, Kickstarter).
We are all doing our best to manage teams through unprecedented times. However, as our teams scale, it is no longer viable to manage those teams through spreadsheets. Too often as leaders, we rely on mental notes to remember who is on what team and what are they working on, what skills they have, or are they progressing in their career. This doesn’t scale. The most effective leaders use tools like Orgspace to keep all of these data points in one place, allowing you to collaborate with your managers to plan and manage change. Orgspace is well positioned to meet this demand.
-Abby Kearns, CTO, Puppet
Brian and Aaron represent a new generation of leaders who demand better tools for managing and building teams and businesses. They are more data-savvy and have higher expectations from software because they know what it is like to build great products. I can’t wait for more leaders to get their hands on Orgspace.
-James Cham, Partner, Bloomberg Beta
Co-founded by Brian Guthrie and Aaron Erickson, both experienced software executives with deep backgrounds in software organization design and management, Orgspace is currently in closed beta, with a full launch planned in early 2022. Orgspace is aggressively expanding, seeking to add engineers passionate about defining the future of engineering management.
We use Orgspace to help us align and assign our team members in better matrixed organizations. We love how flexible Orgspace is as we change the way we work.
I can't imagine doing team planning without Orgspace. The ability to create drafts of different team formations & share that with my eng leaders is game changing.
